As the mother of a toddler, and someone working toward an MPH, it’s just so…disheartening, disappointing and downright weird that I hate taking my tiny kid shopping with me due to the packaging of every. single. thing. in the grocery store.
We do the ‘outside lap’ that’s largely devoid of junk, and when we check out, I choose the aisle with no candy. I’m *that* mom.
But I can’t hide her forever, and I’m trying to teach her good choices, but it’s so unbelievably difficult. Pizza is delicious! So is chocolate! We’re big on moderation, but chocolate will always be tastier than zucchini.
